Ray S. Yoder, 76, passed away August 27, 2011.?áHe was born August 12, 1935 in Chardon, Ohio to the late Simon and Sevilla (Mullet) Yoder.?á He moved to Sarasota County in 1977 from Middlefield, Ohio.?áHe was a master woodworker and loved spending time with his family, fishing and bear hunting. Ray is survived by his wife of 58 years, Verna; children, Mary (Jim) Byler of Sarasota, Vern (Tina) Yoder of Bradenton, Rose (Carl) Webb of Sarasota, Karrie (Bob) Glenn of Sarasota, Connie Yoder of Sarasota; brothers, Paul (Sue) Yoder of Sarasota, Simon (Shirley) Yoder of Middlefield, Ohio, William (Gertrude) Yoder of Bradenton, Sarah Gingerich of Tennessee; 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at Sarasota Baptist Church, Proctor Road Campus,?áon Thursday at 10:00AM.
