Reginald Rodney "Buddy" Rambo's Obituary
Reginald Rodney “Buddy” Rambo, Jr. of Fort Myers, Florida, passed away peacefully Monday, February 13, 2017 at Joanne’s House of Hope Hospice. He was 69. Buddy was born October 27, 1947 in Washington D.C.; the beloved son of the late Reginald R. and Helen Rambo. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era where he earned a Bronze Star. He was very gifted working in various construction capacities throughout his career. In addition to his skills as a construction professional, Buddy had a talent for wood working and created several finely crafted furniture pieces. He was strong in his faith and was an active member of Gulf Coast Church, Bonita Springs, Florida. Buddy was artistic and talented in so many ways but his passion was music. He wrote and composed many arrangements and enjoyed playing his guitar and expressing his Christian faith through his music. He will be sorely missed by many. Buddy is survived by his devoted and loving wife, Diane Hanley; Diane’s daughter, Jennifer Razook of Lexington, Kentucky; his sister, Sandra Zell of Pennsylvania; two brothers in law, Tom Markle of Captiva, Florida and Dan Markle of Fort Myers Beach, Florida. Buddy is also survived by his adopted and loving niece, Katie Leiting. A memorial service and celebration of Buddy’s life will be held 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 11, 2017 at Bay Presbyterian Church 26811 S. Bay Drive, Bonita Springs, Florida 34134.
