Lit a candle in memory of Renee Mariette Delisle
First and foremost, we wish to offer all of you, our condoleances related to the passing of Renée.> Renée's mother (Georgette) and our mother (Mariette) were very close friends. Is this the origin of the name Renée Mariette? That's what we like to think.> On the first picture from left to right you can see: Renée, Camille, Odette, Michelle and Jocelyne.> The five sisters are all dressed in red and white and they surely made "heads turn" when together.> We have maintained a real special attachment for Georgette's daughters.> On the second picture you can see, the cousin Claudette, Camille, Renée, aunt Marcelle, cousin Carole and Jocelyne, all reunited for the 50th wedding anniversary of our parents in Québec (Mariette and Aimé).> We wanted to share these souvenirs and mostly, we would like to offer our deepest sympathy to Henry, to Renée's childrens, to her sisters, to Claudette and Carole and to all the people that loved her.> u> Affectionately> Michèle and Lise Martin
Renee was my high school friend, she married my brother Carl and she became my sister-in-law , she was my maid of honor at my wedding in 1973, we were pregnant at the same time, though she had April 9 days before I delivered Shane, and I never forgave her for that. 😊. I wanted us to be in the hospital at the same time in the same room… We were young mothers together who brought the kids to the beach whenever we could in Newport. She was my son Shane's godmother and I was April's. We worked as waitresses together at Players Corner Pub in Providence, RI. Though our lives were intertwined for many years, we had periods in life that we didn't see each but we would find our way back eventually to being friends again and sharing times together with family and friends. She was a true friend of mine and many times fought for our friendship….for which I am and will be forever be grateful. Renee was the most creative woman I knew…whether it was decorating her place or creating something to wear for that special occasion, she was full of talent. She was so strong in her fight against Pancreatic Cancer; all the way up till it was time for her to leave us on this physical plane. I am forever grateful she was in my life and that I have 2 beautiful nieces to continue to love. I miss her each and every day and now know that life is too short and that we need to love each other each day while we are on this earth… Renee I know you are spirituality still among us and I will love you forever….you are in my heart.LoveCarol
Renee was my co-worker and friend, and even after we both left the bank we stayed in close contact and got together frequently for lunch dates. I remember when Renee first got the diagnosis and at almost the same time lost a very important relationship in her life. She had always shown exceptional class, personality, and humor, but then I got to witness her endless strength as she was determined to fight the disease. And she did fight, and win many more months to spend with her precious daughter, grandchildren, and friends. It was so nice to see the photos of Renee connecting with the most important people in her life during this past year. She'll be greatly missed by everyone she touched, most especially her daughters and grandkids, who were her treasures in life. Please accept my condolences at the loss of this very special person.
I met Renee through another friend with pancreatic cancer. She was beautiful and courageous….
Although I didn't know your mother very well, I do know she was the center of her daughters lives. All the memories made during your lifetime will always be cherished through the coming years. She is gone, but never forgotten and will be in your hearts for a lifetime. Our love and condolences go with each of you through this trying time.Tom, Sharon, Tommy and Ilse
