Hollis And Janice Powers
Dear Marie, David, Donald,Paulette, and Shane, Hollis and I would like to share a few memories we have of both Dick and Marie. We moved to Tallahassee from Ft.Myers almost 3 years ago and sorry we can not be there to celebrate Dick's life. We first met Dick and Marie soon after they moved and started attending St. Hilary's. They were in our Foyer Dinner Group and what a nice way to meet new people. We soon learned that they had a condo on the East coast and they offered us to use it and we did!! Loved being there and by the ocean. I remember Dick being disappointed because we did not take advantage of his 800 line. Hollis was in charge of the Men's Action Group for a while and was pleased that Dick joined. One shrimp boil we were all working it. I was in the kitchen and saw Dick washing the dishes. All of a sudden to my horror I saw his feet go right out from him and boy, did he land with a thud. I thought for sure he broke something. We lived not far from them in the Whiskey Creek area and would stop and chat when we saw them outside. Many and I mean many times we would drive down the parkway and was able to give a big wave to Dick and their most faithful dog on the bike. That is how we want to remember him. Our thoughts and prayers for you all.Janice Powers
