Richard ?Ç£Bud?Ç¥ Bryan Brown, 79, passed away Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Gainesville, FL.?áBud was born on October 19, 1932 to P. Richard and E. Evelyn Brown in Kewanee, IL.?á Bud married Patricia Jean Lund on July 14, 1951 in Annawan, IL.?áShortly after the birth of their first son Rick, Bud and Pat traveled to Germany where he served as a Corporal for the 9th Signal Company, 9th Infantry Division in the US Army during the Korean War.?áAfter returning home, Bud and Pat lived in Annawan and owned Brown?ÇÖs Hardware Store until moving to Cape Coral, FL in 1967.?áWhile raising his family in Southwest Florida, Bud was the proprietor of Bud?ÇÖs TV Repair in Fort Myers Beach, FL.?áHe and his family moved to Gainesville, FL in 1978.?áWhile in Gainesville, Bud was a technician for North Florida Regional Medical Center until his retirement.?á Bud was a fun-loving, devoted family-man who was incredibly talented in all his fields of occupation.?áThose who knew him best will remember him for his humor, honesty, and kindness.?á He is survived by his wife Patricia J. Brown, brother, Ronald Brown, sister, Adele Brotz, daughter Julie B. Claus, granddaughters, Sara B. Montgomery, Heather B. Brindise, Colleen M. Claus and Shannon M. Claus, and great-grandchildren Eleanor and George Montgomery. This loss has greatly saddened all, yet there is comfort in knowing he is now with his predeceased children, Richard ?Ç£Rick?Ç¥, Kathy and Steven Brown, for heaven holds the dearly departed. Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 18, 2012 at 1:00pm, in the Family Service?áChapel at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens, 1589 Colonial Blvd, Fort Myers, FL 33907.?á In lieu of flowers, the family is suggesting donations be made in Bud?ÇÖs honor to the Wounded Warrior Project, www.woundedwarriorproject.org .
