Richard S. Carlson's Obituary
Richard Stewart Carlson, 88, passed away peacefully on Friday December 16th, 2022. He had been a resident of Sanibel, Florida for over 45 years.
Originally from Chicago, Richard moved to South West Florida in the 70’s to begin his venture of owning and operating one of the first jet ski rental businesses in the world. He provided marine recreational services for South Seas Plantation and Casa YBel beach resort. He and his wife Patty became members of the First Assembly of God Church in Ft. Myers, Fl. Together, they accepted Jesus as their Lord and savior and traveled to Israel with the church to be baptized in the river Jordan. Richard enjoyed filming church services and helping distribute food for children and families in need.
Richard leaves behind to cherish his memory, his five children, nine grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren.
A visitation will be held on Thursday December 29th, 2022 from 11:00AM to 1:00PM with funeral service at 1:00PM officiated by Pastor Edward Valkamet from First Assembly, Ft. Myers. Entombment in Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Cemetery will follow.
