Richard Albert “Dick” Dickson of Bonita Springs, FL died October 28, 2015 at his home. Cremation Rites are to be accorded. Memorials: Shriner’s Children’s Hospital. Richard was born April 15, 1949 in Woodstock, IL, the son of Clyde and Lillie Ada (Dowell) Dickson. He married Lynne Palmer in McHenry, IL September 29, 1973. Richard worked for the Fort Myers News-Press, serving as circulation manager. He retired in 2011 after 20 years of service. Richard loved to spoil his kids, grandchildren and wife, Lynne. Richard was an avid Chicago Blackhawks fan and Florida Everblades fan. He is survived by his wife Lynne of Bonita Springs; children Elizabeth Dickson of Bonita Springs; Eileen McCartney and her husband Tim of Fort Myers, FL; and three grandchildren, Avalon, Rory, and Charlotte. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Wesley; and one sister, Della Williams. The Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of Mr. Dickson.
