My favorite memory of Uncle Dick will always be that afternoon in late May, 1990 when he and his then girlfriend (Anna?) drove me around New York City showing me places and telling me about his work with the Port Authority.
Another interesting memory was probably the last time the three brothers were all together. I think this was 2003 in Edmond, Oklahoma. The discussion turned to some of the old Gooden family furniture that was in the room and where it had been in the old house on Hunter in Conway. The furniture was a conduit allowing them to travel back in time and it was fascinating and rather magical to listen to them discuss and argue about where things had been and some of the stories that came up as a result.
