Richard W. Hurley's Obituary
Richard W. Hurley, 87, of Fort Myers, FL passed away Friday, April 14, 2017. He was born August 27, 1929 in Syracuse, NY to Chauncey Samuel and Marguerite (Ellis) Hurley and moved to Fort Myers from Columbus, OH in 1997. Richard was a U.S. Navy Veteran, Saint Columbkille Catholic Church parishioner and fourth degree Knight with Knights of Columbus. Mr. Hurley is survived by his wife of 65 years, Irene M. Hurley. Five children; Kathleen, Richard (Becky Lewis), Karen (Richard) Evans, Nancy Visintine and James (Yuriko Yamasaki), 11 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Siblings; Mary Sorgenfrei and Anne Miller. Memorial services were held on Monday, April 17, 2017 at Saint Columbkille Catholic Church in Fort Myers. In lieu of flowers, the family requests Memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association.
