Richard ?Ç£Dick?Ç¥ Louis Blakeman, 79, of Ft. Myers passed away December 16, 2010. Born July 5, 1931 in Decatur, IL, Dick served as a Sgt. in the US Army. He was a 32nd degree Mason. Dick sang in a radio program as ?Ç£The Duke?Ç¥ of The Boys Club of Ft. Myers. He worked for National and Pan Am Airlines. Richard is survived by his 5 beloved children Bruce (Linda) Crant, John (Cynthia) Crant, Dianne (Rick) DeBoest, Joan (Don) Hansen and Paula Rayner; 5 siblings Shirley (Rev. Jim) Williams, Patricia Walker, Tommy G. (Barbara), Dorothy (Wayne) Boyette and Jim (Nancy); 10 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Richard was preceded in death by his loving wife of 29 years Mildred Crant Blakeman, sister, Norma J. Bucker and brother, Jerry D. Funeral arrangements were handled by Ft. Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Memorials can be made at Hope Hospice, 2430 Diplomat Pkwy., Cape Coral, FL 33909.
