Richard E. Marshall's Obituary
Richard E. Marshall, 83, of Fort Myers, passed away Wednesday, February 22, 2012. He was born July 29, 1928 in Lakewood, OH. ?Ç£Dick?Ç¥ worked for General Motors for 37 years, retiring in 1986 from the Color and Trim Department of the Chevrolet Division. He severed for 12 years as a School Board member for the Warren Consolidated Schools in Macomb County Michigan. In 1993 he relocated to Fort Myers, FL from Troy, MI where he began to enjoy an active lifestyle participating in golf, tennis, table tennis, and swimming. His competitive nature and outgoing personality was a delight to his friends and family. Mr. Marshall leaves to cherish his memory, his children: Richard J. Marshall (Becki) of Newtown Square, PA, David P. Marshall (Ruann) of Chesterfield, MI, Brenda J. Millage (Mark) of Fort Myers, FL and Michael A. Marshall (Annie) of Anthem, AZ; his grandchildren: Heather Burling, Jessica Archer, Eric Marshall, Allison Loveland, Gloria Hsu, Brenda White, Andrea Penner, Kelly Johnson, Emily Millage, Elizabeth Millage, Stephen Millage, Emma Marshall, Michael Marshall and Abbey Marshall and fifteen great grandchildren. Additional surviving family members include sister-in-law Betty Marshall of Brandon, FL; nephews Bill Marshall of Valrico, FL; Bob Marshall of Macon, GA, niece Janet Kimble of Mauldin, SC and cousin Mark Williams of Brecksville, OH. Memorial services celebrating his life will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, April 10th, 2012 at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, 3000 Orange Blossom Drive, Naples, FL 34109.
