Richard was a business man of many talents and a fierce entrepreneurial. He worked in a variety of business industries including manufacturing, restaurant, automotive, banking and financial services. He had a passion for golf, the weather channel and red wine. He was a devoted father and grandfather. He saw the best in everyone and will be remembered for his jovial personality and for crafting adorable nicknames for his grandchildren. Richard was also a man of faith who found great comfort in the words of the "Prayer of St. Francis of Assisi," as follows:-
Lord, make me an instrument of thy peace. Where there is hatred let me sow love, where there is injury pardon; where there is doubt, faith; where there is despair, hope; where there is darkness, light and where there is sadness, joy.
O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console, to be understood as to understand, to be loved as to love. For it is in giving that we receive, in pardoning that we are pardoned and in dying that we gain eternal life. Amen
