Rita married James Koprowski on December 30, 1953, celebrating 63 loving years together. Jim preceded Rita in death on March 22, 2017. Yes, they did everything together.Rita graduated from Perrysburg High School. She and Jim remained there most of their adult lives. Active in the ministry of First Methodist Church of Perrysburg, OH. Rita would be baking, knitting, painting, and doing whatever needed to be done.Remember when we only had black and white pictures? Rita had a life-long passion of bringing black and white pictures to life with colors of paint. She would paint portrays, aerial photos, pictures, clothing, place mats, and furniture. We teased Rita that she painted by number which was so far from the truth. Rita had a wonderful gift from God of seeing beautiful colors in every picture. Rita and Jim came to Florida for many years during the winter months, just one week vacation at first, then two weeks, then a month, and finally retiring to Ft. Myers in 2006. Rita’s good-hearted and joyful soul will be missed by all who knew her. In remembering Rita, each of us should laugh often and love with our whole heart as that is what she did her entire life.Left on earth to carry on are Rita’s loving daughter Kimberly (Dean, Terry, & Radar) Southworth, her sister Bobbie (John) Bender, her nephew Michael Koprowski, and many nephews & nieces.Rita was preceded in death by her sister Betty (Luke) Jones.
