Rita Gertrude Radigan's Obituary
Rita Gertrude Radigan, 86, of Fort Myers, passed away peacefully with her sons by her side on Sunday, March 1, 2015. She was born October 27, 1928 in Brooklyn, NY to the late Charles and Gertrude (Brady) Wetjen. Rita lived independently for the most part since her devoted husband Bob passed away on Father’s Day in 1983. She also treasured her rescue greyhound Onieka and in the past few years her sweet cat, “Kitty”, who has a home waiting for her. Along with her three children: Gail, Bob and Kevin and grandchildren, Keith, Steve, Tara Shales, Sean and Caitlin Radigan, Kevin and Kyle Radigan and numerous great grandchildren, Rita is survived by her much loved sister, Dolores of Pennsylvania and brother Tom of New York. As per Rita’s wishes, she will be cremated, then buried next to her beloved husband, Bob, in Irondequoit Cemetery in Rochester, NY as soon as practical following the spring thaw. At that time, they will be reunited once again. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Blvd., Fort Myers, FL 33907, 239-936-0555.
