Robert "Bob" Leroy Fisher's Obituary
Robert "Bob" Leroy Fisher, aged 88, of Fort Myers, Florida, passed away peacefully on October 8, 2024. Born on May 2, 1936, to Wesley and Ruth (McGuire) Fisher in Bedford, Ohio, he graduated from high school in Canton, Ohio. Bob enlisted in the Army, serving at Fort Hood, Texas, before being honorably discharged. He later attended Akron University, where he earned a degree in industrial engineering. On May 7, 1966, he married his beloved wife, Mary Lou (Mercer), in Canton.
Bob made Florida his home in 1992 after relocating from Hinckley, Ohio, where he retired from a distinguished career as Vice President of Manufacturing at Moen, Inc. He and Mary Lou enjoyed extensive travel throughout North America and Mexico in their RV, exploring world cultural sites and meeting new people.
He is preceded in death by his parents, sisters Judy and Vivian, and daughter Kimberly Fisher.
Bob is survived by his devoted wife of 58 years, Mary Lou; children Kelly Fisher (husband John McCormick), Robert Fisher Jr., and Kathleen Fisher (husband Nelson Riollano); and sister Eucebia Crum.
The family has entrusted Fort Myers Memorial Gardens with the care of his final arrangements. In accordance with Bob's wishes, there will be no formal service.
