Robert Bruce Bremmer (88) died October 7, 2019, on the Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary with his devoted and beloved wife of 67 years, Bernice (Bee), at his side. He is also survived by his 13 children: Bob (Cathy) Bremmer, Marian Read Obituary
Growing up I always looked forward to the Bremmers’ Illinois visits where we’d all gather at my grandmother’s house for pizza and water balloon fights and catch up with everyone. I’m thankful that my family and I got to visit with Bea, Bob, Jenny and her family on a recent trip to Florida. You’ll be missed Uncle Bob. Much Love, Chris.
When Uncle Bob and Bee were married in 1952 I was 5 years old. Bob and Bee lived close to us and treated us Spinner kids as they were to treat the wonderful children they would raise. Patrice and I married in 1970. We would eventually travel to Penn Hills any number of times with our son Scott. On our visits the Bremmer’s would treat Scott as part of the family. Scott had such a good time that he would often have tears in his eyes on our way home. What I have just described, I’m quite sure, is the way all people have felt interacting with the Bremmers. We are all on a journey back to God. On the Bremmers journey, Aunt Bee was always the ultimate social director. Uncle Bob was captain and manned the helm. By his life’s example he has now shown his family and so many others how to navigate to heaven’s eternal shore. Uncle Bob’s “ship is anchored safe and sound, its voyage closed and done. From fearful trip the victor ship comes in with object won.” This world has lost a very special person. UncleBob, be at peace in God’s embrace.

May the family experience the blessings of love that Mr Bremmer shared with them and God’s arms surrounding them with His Love. I have known Mr. Bremmer since I was a young child living two houses away on Charleston Dr. He was always a stern but loving man, smoking his pipe and quietly letting you know if you were out of line! He smiled that wry smile and laughed with a full and delightful chuckle! You knew he loved his large and happy family and provided all they needed! Mr. Bremmer will always be remembered as “Mr. Bremmer” to me! I was lucky to still visit with him in Ft. Myers on an occasional Sunday when he and Mrs. Bremmer and whatever family member happened to be visiting were at church! Bobby, Marian, Bill, Mark, Kim, Ann, Karen, Sharon, John, Jean, Dorrie, Darien AND Jennifer! I love you all like you are family — because you ARE! Our prayers for your dad, as well as for all of you, go out with heart-felt sympathy and love. He is now where he belongs — IN HEAVEN!
