Lit a candle in memory of Robert Henry Carlier
I spent a good portion of my childhood at the Carlier house in Penfield. They accepted me as a member of the family, feeding me, letting me sleep over often, and taking me out sailing. I can still hear Mr. Carlier (hard for me to call him anything else) from the back of the boat saying "Hard alee!" and then having to duck under the boom and work to get the lines in the right place and at the right tension. They are all good memories for me, and I am so grateful that he was part of my life.
