Robert Eugene De Armond's Obituary
Robert E. De Armond, Sr. of Fort Myers, Florida passed away at his home on Monday, November 3, 2014 with his loving family by his side. He was 86 years old.Mr. De Armond was born on September 21, 1928 in Bluffton, Indiana to Meryl (Wilson) and Virgil De Armond. He married Doris Hunnicutt on January 15, 1950. While living in Bluffton, he was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church. After a 38-year career, he retired from International Harvester-Navistar in January of 1983.He is survived by his loving wife Doris; his three sons Robert E. De Armond Jr., James E. De Armond and William W. DeArmond; nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and two brothers Dick & Charles De Armond of Bluffton, Indiana. He also leaves behind a number of extended family members and many friends who grieve his loss. Sadly, he was preceded in death by his parents and his sisters Wanda Tarr and Rosamond Johnston.He was a member of Cypress Lake United Methodist Church in Fort Myers and his funeral services will be private.
