Robert Charles Harrington, Jr., 69, passed away on April 22, 2011 in Fort Myers, Florida.?áHe was born April 10, 1942 in Hoosick Falls, New York to the late Robert (Sr.) and Delores (Nimons) Harrington.?áHe was a graduate of St. Mary Academy High and was a veteran of the US Army.?áRobert worked for Dodge Fiber in Hoosick Falls and also for the Childs Hospital and the Nelson House in Albany. He moved to Florida in 1989 and worked for Lee County School as a the cafeteria manager before retiring in July of 2010.?áHe enjoyed his home and his best friends Tail and D.C. (which were his cats). Survivors include his sisters, Sandy McCart and Sue Heckey, both of Hoosick Falls; brother, William Harrington of Budfast, Georgia and Peter of St. Johnsonville, NY; special friend of 45 years, Don Marshall of Fort Myers; the love of his life, Nana Nimons; sister-in-law,?áSnookie Harrington, Kathy Harrington and brother-in-law, John Kicky and many nieces and nephews. Bob was preceded in death by two brothers, Gerald and John Harrington and sister-in-law, Jo Ann Harrington. There will be a visitation on Wednesday from 4:00 to 6:00PM at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Blvd. Fort Myers, Florida.?áFuneral mass will be Thursday, 10:00 AM at St. Cecilia?ÇÖs Catholic Church, 5632 Sunrise Drive, Fort Myers, Florida. ?áInterment with military honors will follow at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
