Robert Valfrid Johnson's Obituary
Robert Valfrid Johnson, 91, a resident of Fort Myers, FL since 2007, formerly of Englewood, FL died Wednesday, November 4, 2020. HE was born August 10, 1929 in Ossining, New York to the late Oscar and Emma Johnson.
Robert was a retired engineer working for General Electric starting in the Apprentice program continuing there until he retired several years ago. He was Mr. Fix-it tackling any job that needed done around the house. He enjoyed playing tennis and golf and had spent summers on the lake boating and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his son, Erik Johnson and sister, Gunhilde Shults.
Robert is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Alma Johnson of Fort Myers, FL; two children, Judy McAlhaney (Alan) of Louisville, KY and Beth Anderson (Jim) of North Fort Myers, FL; five grandchildren, Jennie, Jeremiah, Justin, Shelby and Jacob; as well as one great grandson, Jordan.
No formal services are planned.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Friends of Israel Gospel Ministry (www.foi.org) in loving memory of Robert Valfrid Johnson.
