Robert William Kuron's Obituary
Robert W. Kuron, 81, died peacefully in his sleep on June 2, 2018, after many years living with congenital heart disease. Visitation will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 PM on Tuesday evening, June 5, 2018 inside the Chapel at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Boulevard, Fort Myers, Florida 33907, (239) 936-0555. A Funeral Mass for Bob will be celebrated at 11:00 AM the following day, Wednesday, June 6, 2018, at St. Therese Catholic Church, 20115 North Tamiami Trail, North Fort Myers, Florida 33903, (239) 567-2315.Bob or lovingly called Jaja by all his grand and great grand children is remembered as being loving, funny and warm. He was a wonderful man that was loved, is missed and will always be cherished. Always supportive and encouraging, he was happy to see and be surrounded by his family. He loved a good joke and a Polish high five, golf with his buddies and flying remote controlled airplanes.Robert was born in Toledo, Ohio on November 1, 1936 to Edith B. and William J. Kuron who preceeded him in death. Robert attended St. Adalbert’s Catholic Elementary School and Central Catholic High School in Toledo, Ohio and Graduated from the University of Toledo with an accounting degree in 1957. After graduating, he married the love of his life, Mary Louise Greenen on June 15, 1957. Together they had 6 children, 20 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.His career path began with Owens Illinois Glass Co. in Toledo, OH, self-employed briefly as a building contractor, Controller at Marathon Special Products in Bowling Green, OH, Vice President Treasurer for Leon Plastics in Grand Rapids, MI, and finished his career as Chief Financial Officer of CWC Castings Division of Textron Corporation in Muskegon, MI. He semi retired as a Controller for Clyde Hendrick Real Estate in Grand Haven, MI before moving into full retirement in North Ft. Myers, FL in 2001.He is survived by his wife, Mary Louise Kuron, His children: Robert W. Kuron Jr (April), Mary Lou Kuron- Spoerl (Steven), Elizabeth Kuron Muntis preceeded him in death (Robert), Andrew Kuron (Kathleen), Patrick Kuron (Deborah) and Kathleen Kuron Lorenz (Matthew).Grandchildren: Steven H. Spoerl Jr. (Jennifer), Christine Spoerl Baker (Brian), Nicki Whipple Robbins, Molly Spoerl Caine (Jim), Amanda Spoerl Hewitt (Andrew), Samantha Muntis Dutle (Justin), Alyssa Kuron Brewer (Josh), Patrick Kuron, Emma Muntis, Angie Kuron, Courtney Lorenz, Kristin Kuron , Robert Kuron III, Frank Muntis (Shelby), Joseph Lorenz, Robert Muntis, George Spoerl , Sarah Lorenz, Sherry Kuron (preceeded him in death) and Jacquelyn Spoerl.His Great Grandchildren: Hannah, Steve, Paul and Charlie Spoerl, Charlotte and Natalie Baker, Elizabeth and Daniel Robbins, Grayson and Harper Caine, Leona and Breckin Hewitt, Brooke Kuron and Griffin Dutle.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Theresa Catholic Church in North Ft. Myers, FL.
