Robert H. Miller's Obituary
Robert Passed Away April 27, 2021.
He was born February 17, 1922 to Harry and Florence Miller in Piqua, Ohio.
Bob attended school in Richmond, Indiana, graduating High School in 1940.
He was a young entrepreneur being President of the Indiana Good Humor Corporation, while Senior in High School.
Bob attended Earlham College where he majored in Chemistry in Chemical Engineering and was captain of the football team.
He served in the United States Navy for 3 years as Ensign USNR.
Bob went to work as a Chemical Engineer at Beldon Wire Company where he was granted two patents for his development of plastic extrusion for wire and cable.
He went on to start a vending business; Miller & Clark Inc., later becoming Servomation of Indianapolis Richmond & Connersville, Indiana. Bob also served as President of the Indiana Vending Council.
He dedicated himself for public service: Chairman of the Board at YMCA, Clerk of session First Friends Church, Rotary Club, United Fund Board and Board of Burnt Store Presbyterian Church.
Bob was predeceased by his wife Jeane and son Robert. Survived by son Jeffrey (wife Jacki) and daughter Cynthia Group, and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
