Robert Francis Morrisey's Obituary
Robert Francis Morrissey, 84, of N. Fort Myers, FL, died Friday evening, January 16, 2015, at Calusa Harbour Health Center in Fort Myers. A memorial Mass is scheduled for Saturday, 2/21/15, 10AM at St. Catherine’s of Alexandria, 10621 S. Kedvale, Oak Lawn, IL 60653. Interment Private, St. Mary’s Cemetery, Evergreen Park, IL 60805 Memorials: Donor’s Choice. Robert was born September 4, 1930 in Chicago, IL the son of Patrick and Sylvia (Tombul) Morrissey. He served with the USMC during the Korean War from 1951-1952. He was a member of the VFW, AMVETS, and American Legion. Mr. Morrissey retired from the City of Chicago, serving as a Health Inspector for 20 plus years. Surviving are his daughter-in-law, Rita Morrissey of Willowbrook, IL; grandchildren, Katie (Morrissey) Lonjers and her husband Zach , Robert Morrissey, many nieces and nephews and a very fond friend, Pauline Moulter of Orland Park, IL. Preceding in death his parents; son, Joseph Morrissey; sister, Alice Dominique; brothers, Dean Morrissey and Donald Morrissey. The Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home has been entrusted with Mr. Morrissey’s care. Condolences may be left to the family at www.fortmyersmemorial.com.
