Robert D. Paskiet's Obituary
Robert D. Paskiet of Fort Myers, Florida passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on Tuesday, January 8, 2018 following some recent health challenges. He was 91 years old.Robert was born in South Bend, Indiana on October 9, 1927, the proud son of Genevieve (Tobolski) and Casimir Paskiet. He was a member of the United States Merchant Marine Service as a young adult before his return stateside to raise a family. He later worked for Sears-Roebuck and Company for many years where he demonstrated and sold carpeting and then arranged for installation. Robert was a resident of Southwest Florida for over 60 years and was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose and the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks.Robert leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife Claudia (Anson) Paskiet; beloved son Terry Paskiet; cherished brother Richard Paskiet; adored neice Shelly Stevens and nephew Ric Paskiet. He also leaves behind many extended family members and countless others who were proud to know him and call him a friend. He will be greatly missed.A Visitation for Robert will be held form 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 12, 2019 inside the Chapel at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Boulevard, Fort Myers, Florida 33907, (239) 936-0555. A Memorial Service celebrated by Deacon Rich Spiro will immediately follow at 11:00 AM also inside the funeral home chapel.
