Robert Henry Stenzel's Obituary
Robert Henry Stenzel, 97, of Fort Myers, passed away Friday, November 13, 2015. He was born November 27, 1917 in Rochester, NY and moved to Fort Myers 25 years ago. He was a member of St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church and a member of the Free and Accepted Masons. He retired from General Motors in 1973. Mr. Stenzel was a lifelong musician and band leader and was a member of The Entertainers who played at the Lake Kennedy Community Center in Cape Coral. He enjoyed painting was a stained glass artist. Mr. Stenzel is survived by his loving wife of 74 years, Hazel Stenzel; his two sons: James G. Stenzel (wife, Karen) of North Fort Myers and Kenneth J. Stenzel (wife, Susan) of Marion, NY; his grandchildren: Jason, Aaron, Alicia, Michael, Tim, Jennifer, Stacey, Robert Jr., Sheena and Robin as well as six great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Robert W. Stenzel. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, November 19, 2015 in the chapel of Hope Hospice, 2430 Diplomat Parkway, Cape Coral with Pastor Lorrie Davison officiating.
