Robert Henry Storey's Obituary
On May 19, 2015 Bob went to be with the Lord Jesus Christ. He died of cancer.Surviving him are his wife of 46 years Phyllis, daughter Sarah Jean Heisler, son Robert, Jr and daughter-in-law Veronica. Both children are in North Carolina.Bob was born in Camden NJ. Upon graduating from Collingswood High School, he attended Asbury College in Kentucky and graduated with a BA in Math in 1968. Following his graduation, Bob married his college sweetheart and joined IBM as a computer programmer. They lived in Vestal, NY until 1979 when he transferred with IBM to Charlotte, NC where they lived for 30 years. Bob enjoyed the “down & dirty” part of software problem solving and completed his career as a software consultant. In 2008, Phyllis and Bob retired south to Cape Coral, FL.Bob’s interests were usually around playing sports. Mostly it was softball, later he settled on golf – not starting until he was 34. But the focus of his life was on his Lord and missions, since he was converted under the ministry of a missionary.Bob continued to be active in his local church in various capacities over the years and throughout his lifetime. He was so thankful to find Phyllis who was a perfect life partner for him. He has always been proud of his children: Sarah, Rob and Veronica.Services will be held at Fort Myers Nazarene Church on May 24, 2015 at 3:00pm.
