Robert Douglas Taylor's Obituary
Robert Douglas Taylor was born December 15th, 1955 in Goochland County, Virginia. His parents were Richard Taylor and Ellease Solomon. Everyone who knew Robert called him Bobby. His childhood through his adult life was in Southwest Florida. He graduated in 1973 from North Fort Myers High school. He worked as an auto mechanic until 1995 where he retired early due to an injury at work. Bobby married the love of his life on August 12th 1995, Susan Carol Price, where they stayed married until her passing on December 10th, 2017. He had three children. Robert Douglas Taylor Jr. (Beau), Diane Taylor, and Sabrina Anne Aluotto. He was a caring friend who would drop everything to help when needed. He was known by many and to his wife and family as Doctor Doolitte, he loved his animals. He enjoyed listening to the music of his past - 50,60,70s while outside enjoying nature. He enjoyed going out to see the car shows/planes in his spare time. He knew every make, model and year. He was a devoted Husband, Father and Friend. He will truly be missed by many.
A Funeral Service for Bobby will be celebrated by Pastor Robert Lockwood at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 2, 2021 inside the Chapel at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Boulevard, Fort Myers, Florida 33907, (239) 936-0555. Guests will be received for an hour preceding this ceremony beginning at 10:00 AM also inside the funeral home chapel. At the conclusion of these services, family and friends will recess to adjacent Memorial Gardens Cemetery where Bobby will be laid to rest inside the Mausoleum located at the Garden of Serenity.
