Robert James Walters' Obituary
Robert James Walters of Fort Myers, Florida, better known simply as Bob to his family and friends, passed away peacefully at his residence with his loving family by his side on Wednesday, March 23, 2022 following some recent health challenges. He was 78 years old.
Robert was born in Cleveland, Ohio on November 6, 1943, the proud son to Irene (Castagna) and Robert J. Walters Sr. Bob worked in the field of window and door layout, design and manufacture for over 60 years. Since 1982, he was the President and CEO of RWI Supply Inc. based in Fort Myers. Under Bob's leadership, RWI became a leading manufacturer, assembler, and distributor of windows, doors, skylights, millwork, hardware and related products for both residential and commercial markets and served the professional builder, contractor and architect. Bob was married to and leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife, Mary Ann (Szabo) Walters and his sons.
Immediate arrangements for Bob's final care are private and cremation rites will be observed. A Committal Service for Bob's Urn will be celebrated by Deacon Jim Tesoriero at 12:00 PM on Thursday, April 7, 2022 inside the Sylvan Terrace Section of Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 1589 Colonial Boulevard, Fort Myers, Florida 33907, (239) 936-0555. All are welcome to attend and celebrate the life, well-lived, of one who was loved and respected by many.
