Robert S. Zlobl's Obituary
NAPLES – Robert Stephen Zlobl passed away peacefully on September 23, 2025, in Naples, Florida, surrounded by his loving family.
Born on January 22, 1948, in Greenfield, Massachusetts, Robert built a life marked by dedication to his craft and deep care for those around him. Over the course of his accomplished career as a general contractor, he left a lasting mark on the Florida coastline. He was instrumental in constructing condominiums in Sanibel and Fort Myers Beach. He was also a home builder in Cape Coral. His work helped shape communities and provided homes and spaces where countless lives would unfold.
Robert’s legacy extends far beyond the structures he built. Known for his generous spirit and unwavering commitment to others, he had a natural instinct for caring for those around him. Whether through his professional endeavors or personal relationships, Robert consistently placed the needs of others before his own.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Tracye Zlobl, MD; his sons, Andrew Zlobl and Michael Zlobl, his sisters, Cynthia Jeansonne and Sharon Szal; and his brothers-in-law Brent Jeansonne and Richard Szal. Robert was preceded in death by his step-son, Ashley Ryan Barnes.
Robert Stephen Zlobl will be remembered not only for the buildings he built but for the lives he touched with kindness and care. May his memory bring comfort to all who knew him. A visitation will be held on Monday, September 29, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens 1589 Colonial Blvd. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Tuesday, September 30, 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Church of the Resurrection, 8121 Cypress Lake Drive, Fort Myers, FL 33919. Burial will follow at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens.
