So sorry to hear of Berts passing. We loved her and Jim very much.
I remember going to sleepovers and halloween parties as a child. It was so much fun, jamie, your mom was always smiling and laughing at us crazy girls. I have fond memories of those days. And more recently i've enjoyed seeing pictures of her on fb having the time of her life in florida, at the beach, at disney. I can't believe she's gone. Rip bert…
Have fond memories of Roberta when she and her family would visit the Hammelman Family Farm in Edwardsport, Indiana. She would come with her parents Paul and Helen Hammelman, her sisters Marge and Carol, and her brothers Paul and Larry. Together with my parents Edgar and Alice Hammelman and my brothers Jerry and Ronnie, we spent many days roaming the farm, taking care of animals, and doing choresRoberta was always energetic, and happy to experience the environment of Farm life. May God be with her family during this time of sorrow.Edgar Dean Hammelman
I'm so sad to read this, but happy that she is reunited with her husband. Roberta was a wonderful woman. She was my first "boss". I did vocational at the hospital and she was the one that I worked closely with and she showed me the ropes. When I was done, she told me if I ever needed a reference she would be glad to give me one. She knew my grandmother, she was an amazing woman.
Sorry we can't be there, will be there in mind and soul. Had great times growing up with Jim & Bert, Jamie, JoAnn, always hanging out, our parents playing cards. Fun times!! Rick&Kim Geiger
So many, many memories…the laughter and tears shared at GCH. I am so glad that she found some happiness in Florida after losing Jim but sad that her time with her family was cut short. Rest in peace Bertie, you've earned it. Sandee Acton
Jaimie, So sorry to hear of your mom's passing. She was always such a sweet lady and I loved crossing paths with her at Gratiot. Thoughts and prayers to you and your family 💕💕Sue Apple
I enjoyed many many many lunch's with Bert at the hospital. It was a different time back then. We share our family good times and bad times over a tuna sandwich. We laughed and cried and told a joke or two good and bad. We swore under our breath and smiled at the same time (Bert was a pro at that.) I felt very lucky to have her friendship. May God hold you in the palm of His hand during this time. May your memories sustain you during this difficult time.
