Rodolfo "Rudy" Barrera's Obituary
Rodolfo “Rudy” Barrera of Estero, Florida passed away suddenly on Saturday, June 16, 2018 following a motor vehicle accident which tragically claimed his life. He was 71 years old.He was survived by his wife Graciela Barrera; his children Mirza Estrada, Kleibert Estrada, Magda R. Moreno, Luz Garcia, Jessica Clark, Ivonne Coronado, Brenda Bryan; his grandchildren: Karen Perez, Edgar Flores, Rodrigo Flores, Cristian Montenegro, Jean Michael Montenegro, Daniel Garcia, Santiago Garcia, Hannah Clark, Sarah Clark, Sebastian Coronado, Emma Bryan and Abigail Bryan and his sister Maria Del Carmen Barrera de Davila.Daddy was the man who loved us unconditionally…who taught us how to love others, to give to others generously, to put other people’s needs before our own and to love and serve God. Dad was the first one to admit he was not perfect (who is…) but chose to serve God and others with a sacrificial love because God redeemed his imperfect life and granted him a new life. You see dad recognized a long time ago that Christ loved him so much that He sent His only begotten son that if he believed in him he would not perish but have everlasting life. Today our dad is in our Savior’s presence where he is singing and worshiping God.A Memorial Service for Rudy will be celebrated at 4:00 PM on Tuesday, June 19, 2018 inside the Chapel at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Boulevard, Fort Myers, Florida 33907, (239) 936-0555. Family will receive friends for a time of visitation from 3:00 PM until service time, also inside the funeral home chapel. To share a story or photo, leave a tribute or to offer condolences to the family at this difficult time please visit Rudy’s memorial webpage at www.fortmyersmemorial.com and sign his guestbook.
