Ronald Dean Blackburn's Obituary
Ronald Dean Blackburn of Cape Coral, Florida passed away suddenly on Thursday, October 29, 2015. He was 69 years old.Ron was born on August 8, 1946 in Indianapolis, Indiana, the proud son of Lorraine (Park) and Carl L. Blackburn. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and spent his career as an Environmental Analyst with the Florida Department of Environmental Protection. He was an avid fan of all sports programs at Florida State University and was a longtime member of the Police Association of Cape Coral, Fort Myers Beach American Legion Post No. 274 and the Cape Coral Lodge of Elks No. 2596.Ron is predeceased by his parents and by his wife Cheryl who died in 2012.A Memorial Service for Ron will be celebrated at 2:00 PM on Saturday, December 5, 2015 in the Chapel at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Boulevard, Fort Myers, Florida 33907, (239) 936-0555. Friends will be received immediately preceding this ceremony from 12 Noon until the time of the service.
