Ronald Dale Parrish's Obituary
Ronald Dale Parrish, of Canton, IL, passed away March 9, 2016 at 8:40 AM. He was born on May 4, 1943 in Peoria, IL the son of Harold and Lorene Parrish, who preceded him in death. Ron married Lois Hole on December 23, 1965 and she survives. Also surviving are his children, Chad (Kirsten) Parrish of Marion, IL, Stacy Danes, of Springfield, IL; siblings, Gary (Jane) Parrish, Linda (Ron) Browder, Vicki (Louie) Jiardina, Phylis (Lindall) Grant, Jeanie Vieceli; eight grandchildren, Victoria Kerle, Joshua Parrish, Veronica Parrish, Andrew Parrish, Jessica Kerans, Jacob Kerans, Madison Danes, McKenna Danes. He was also preceded in death by brothers, James and Larry Parrish. Ron served four years in the US Navy from 6-1-61 to 5-30-65 aboard the USS Chilton APA 38 BT2 class. Following his military service Ron worked for Central Illinois Light Company until he retired in 1999. He attended First Christian Church in Canton, IL. Ron was also a member of Canton Country Club where he served in various capacities for the betterment of the club and was an avid golfer. A celebration of life will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, March 19, 2016 at First Christian Church, 215 W. Elm St, Canton, IL 61520. Family will gather with friends one hour prior to service time at the church. Cremation rites will be accorded. The Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of Ron.
