Ronald Deets' Obituary
Ron was born and raised in East Liverpool, Ohio and moved to Florida in 1962.He was a veteran of the Korean War and was proud to have served as a radioman on the submarine, USS Remora. He was a member of the Riddle Masonic Lodge in East Liverpool, Ohio. He also belonged to the Araba Shrine Temple, Scottish Rite, and was a 32nd Degree Mason.Ron was active in and loved aviation. He was a private pilot and especially enjoyed flying with the R/Sea Hawks Model Airplane Club. He enthusiastically pursued other interests including sailing, photography, marathon running, and spending time with family and friends.He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Mildred, their children; Cynthia, Susan, Daryll; his 3 grandchildren; Sarah, Daniel, Ron; 2 great-grandchildren; Cole, Hannah; and sister Merle.A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, February 21st at Hope Hospice Chapel located at 2430 Diplomat Parkway E., in Cape Coral. In lieu of flowers please make memorial contributions in Ron’s name to Hope Hospice of Cape Coral.
