Ronald Norman Eilert, 72, of Fort Myers, FL died, May 26, 2017 in Naples, FL. Cremation rites will be accorded. Private Memorial services are to be arranged at a later date. Memorials: Paralyzed Veterans of America,. Or Disabled American Veterans Ronald was born October 10, 1944 in Indianapolis, IN the son of Norman Talmadge and Blanche (Joslen) Eilert. He was a veteran of the US Army serving from Dec 6, 1967 through Dec 5, 1969. He married Kathy Leedy on Dec 5, 1970 in Eaton, OH. He was employed as a printer for many years and worked for the IN State Employment Security Division placing Veterans with Employers. Ronald was a member of The Sanctuary in Fort Myers, FL and The Eaton United Church of Christ in Eaton, OH. He was a member of Disabled American Veterans and Paralyzed Veterans of America. He was a 32 degree mason, a member of the Shrine and the Scottish Rite. He enjoyed reading, watching movies playing Cards, Dominos eating out and joking with everyone. His main goal was to make YOU smile! Surviving are His wife Kathy; mother, Blanche E. Eilert of Franklin, IN; children Gary A. Eilert of Greenwwod, IN, Donald L. Eilert and his wife Jenna of Whiteland, IN; sister, Carol Taffe and her husband Les of Greenfield, IN; sister in-law, Susan Eilert of Indianapolis, IN; uncle, Paul Emerson Joslen of Fort Myers Beach, FL and Franklin IN; three grandchildren, Alyssa Price, Drake Eilert and Bryan Workman. He was preceded in death by his father, and brother, Richard P. Eilert. The Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of Ronald.
