Ronald Dale Elam's Obituary
Ronald D. Elam, Sr., 74, of Labelle, FL, died Monday, September 1, 2014 at Oakbrook of Labelle after a lengthy illness. He was born October 6, 1939 in Troy, MI to the late Orville C. Elam and Lillian Mae Penix Elam. Ron lived in Auburn Heights, MI and worked for several years with Fisher Body a division of General Motors. After moving to Florida in 1970 with his wife and family, he passed the Realtor exams and obtained his Realtor’s license. He ultimately established his own agency and proudly served the communities of Southwest Florida for many years. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a son, Michael David Elam (1990), brothers, Orville Elam and Harvey Elam and a sister, Jean Woigdki. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 57 years, Mavis Farol Spencer Elam; son, Ronald Dale Elam, Jr and his fianc??, Rosa; daughter, Betheny Elam-Shults and her husband Michael Shults; brother, Charles Elam (Carol); sisters, Shirley Morris (Jack), Vicky Arrowood (Earl) and Barbara Conniff. He is also survived by his 7 grandchildren; Corey, Ron III, Trevor, Brett, Eddie, Mikaila and Melissa and 3 great grandchildren; Laila, Ron IV and Malachi. Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family. Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home is serving the family.
