Ronald A. Faster, 77, of Ft Myers, Florida (Loudon, TN) passed away at home September 5th after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.?áRon was born December 26, 1934 in Lincoln, IL.?áThe son of Walter and Mable (Dierker) Faster, Ron was a graduate of Lincoln High School and the University of Illinois.?áAfter college Ron served in the United States Army Reserves.?á?á?á Ron married Janet Crummer on February 23, 1957.?á?á His career included time with the 3M Company, 25 years with Hammermill Papers, and 12 years with Weyerhaeuser in which he made countless friends and impacted hundreds of lives.?áUpon retiring from the Paper industry in 1998, Ron and Jan split their time between Fort Myers, and Loudon, TN golfing, traveling, and enjoying the company of family and friends.?á Ron is survived by Jan, his loving wife of 55 years;?á2 sons, Bob (Julie), California; Bill (Kathy), Wisconsin; 4 grandchildren, Matt, Katie, Michael, and Emily; his brother Wally (Cecy), Minnesota; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. A private family memorial will be held.?áIn mid October we will host a celebration of Ron?ÇÖs life at the Fiddlesticks Country Club, Fort Myers, for friends and relatives.?áIn lieu of flowers the family asks that contributions be made in Ron?ÇÖs name to Hope Hospice of Fort Myers, Florida.
