Ronald W Hatch's Obituary
Ronald “Coach” Hatch, 75, passed away June 15, 2010 at Joanne’s House at Hope Hospice in Bonita Springs with Rita by his side. He was born and raised on a dairy farm in Vanlue, OH June 13, 1935 to Margret Breitigam Hatch and Merritt Hatch. He came to FL in 1972. He was a builder most of his life. After getting injured he went to Estero High School where he coached football. Retiring in 1997 he coached baseball and football for many years. He was a strong supporter of Youth Athletics in Lee County and instrumental in starting the San Carlos Park Pop Warner and Little League programs.Ron is survived by sister Joyce Putman, Bonnie (Doc) Nielsen, and brother David (Phyllis) Hatch, OH, daughters Linda Fisher, Barbara (Bruce) Alge, OH, Susan (Richard) Smith, NV, Kimberly Kay, Sandra Jean, sons Joe (Tammy) Hatch, OH, Rodney (Mary) Hatch, NY, Jeffery Dunham; 26 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren. His significant other of thirteen years Rita Gallagher and her children Cara (Alan) Cox, VA, Donna, Arthur, Brian Gallagher, MA and 5 grandchildren. Also his step children; Shelbia Daily, FL, Donna Degroot, Kelly Carter, IN. He was preceded in death by his wife Barbara Jean in March 1993.A private graveside service was held at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens on June 18.
