Ronald Herbert Ryan's Obituary
Mr. Ronald Herbert Ryan, Sr. of Cape Coral, Florida and formerly of Boston, Massachusetts, passed away Wednesday, August 9, 2017 in Cape Coral Hospital after some recent health challenges. He was 85.Ronald was born August 6, 1932 in Chelsea, Massachusetts; the son of the late John and Lucy Ryan. He worked as a carpenter throughout his career. Ronald was a proud veteran of the United States Army – earning four bronze service stars and the United Nations Service Medal in the Korean War. He was an active member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and AMVETS. He was an avid sports fan – especially Boston sports the Red Sox and the Patriots. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his loving wife of 50+ years, Patricia J. Ryan (March 10, 2007), his brother George and two sisters; Lucy and Dorothy. Ronald is survived by his two sons, Ron H. Ryan, Jr. (Lynda Sivils) and Wayne Ryan (Jeanne East). He is also survived by his brother, Reginald Ryan and four loving grandchildren, Melissa, Jennifer, Elizabeth and Jacob.Memorial services are planned for 11am Sturday, August 26, 2017 at National Cremation Society 3453 Hancock Bridge Parkway, North Fort Myers, FL 33903. He will be laid to rest next to his beloved wife, Patricia, in the Meditation II Section of Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
