Ronnie Lee Bailey's Obituary
Ronnie Lee Bailey passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on Friday, February 8, 2019 following some recent health challenges. He was 62 years old.Ronnie was born in Dover, Ohio on September 20, 1956, the proud son of Opal Margaret (Shaffer) and Oliver Jay Bailey. He spent most of his adult years in the Baltic, Ohio area where he worked for over 32 years as a truck driver for the Millersburg Ice Company before marrying the love of his life Hazel (Schweitzer) Bailey on October 8, 2005. Several years later, in 2016, the happy couple relocated to sunny Fort Myers, Florida to enjoy a well-deserved retirement.Ronnie was an outstanding and wonderful husband, father and grandfather who leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife Hazel; son Brian (Danielle) Bailey of Nashville, Ohio; daughter Rhonda (Donavin) Donley of Lugoff, South Carolina; beloved grandchildren Keira Donley and Lucas Bailey and sisters Donna White of Deersville, OH, Mary Neiswander of Dundee, OH, Deanna (Roy) Tice of Uhrichsville, OH and Pamela Bailey of Killbuck, OH; sister-in-law Ruby Bailey from Millersburg, OH and brother-in-law Bob Sundheimer of New Bedford, OH. Ronnie also leaves behind a number of extended family members along with countless friends and many others who were proud to know him along life’s journey. Sadly, he was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Arthur, Jimmie and Jay Bailey and sisters Doraine Sundheimer and Lois Jean Campbell. Ronnie will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by all he knew and loved.Immediate funeral ceremonies are private. Arrangements for Ronnie’s final care have been entrusted to Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Boulevard, Fort Myers, Florida 33907, (239) 936-0555.
