Rosalie Ann Porcaro's Obituary
Rosalie Ann Porcaro, 101, of Ft. Myers, Florida, went home to be with the Lord on July 19, 2011.?á Rosalie was born January 7, 1910, in Dillonville, Ohio, to the late Emmanuel and Rosalie Linhart.?á From the early 1940’s until 1970 she and her husband, the late George V. Porcaro, resided in Cincinnati, Ohio, where she was very involved in Church and community volunteer activities, including long service as a Den Mother and Girl Scout Leader when attending Holy Name Church in Mt. Auburn. They moved to Ft. Myers, Florida, in 1970.?áRosalie served on the Board of Labor Women League of Voters, and co-chaired the Labor Women Community Volunteers which visited various area Hospitals and Longview serving patients by providing entertainment and comfort services. She continued these same volunteer services while living in?áFt. Myers. ?á Rosalie is survived by her daughter Rose Marie Kramer of Ft. Myers, Florida,?áand her son George (Jay) V. Porcaro Jr. and wife, Teresa of Cincinnati, Ohio; three grandchildren: Jeffery L. Kramer and his wife Dee, Michelle Ann Porcaro, and James G. Porcaro and his wife Renee; and three great grandchildren: Jessica Lynn Kramer, Nick Marthey, and Ben Marthey.?á Rosalie was proceeded in death by her husband, George V. Porcaro, and her son Richard James Porcaro and her son-inlaw, Arthur Kramer. Friends will be received at the St. Cecilia Catholic Church on Saturday, July 23, 2011, at 10:00 AM, with a Mass of Christian Burial starting at 11:00 AM?áin St. Cecilia’s Church, located at 5632 Sunrise Drive, Ft. Myers, Florida 33919, with entombment to follow in Ft. Myers Memorial Gardens, 1589 Colonial Boulevard, Ft. Myers, Florida.?á In lieu of flowers, friends are asked to make a donation in Rosalie’s name to Hope Hospice, 9470 HealthPark Circle, Ft. Myers, Florida 33908.
