Rose Matilde Leon's Obituary
Rosa Matilde Leon, 90, of North Port, Florida, passed away peacefully on November 12, 2014 at Quality Health Care Center. She was born on February 9, 1924 in San Juan de los Yeras, Villa Clara, Cuba. Rosa and her husband Wilberto Leon immigrated to the United States seeking freedom on March of 1970. They resided in Bridgeport, CT where they lived and worked for many years. Rosa had an incredible zest for life and lived a plentiful one, acquiring many friends that truly loved her. She moved to Port Charlotte, Florida on November 2011 and later on to North Port. She is survived by her daughter, Lourdes Aguila, of North Port, Florida, her nephew Horacio Montalvo and his wife Benthe of Queens, New York and several nieces in the United States and in Cuba and by many dear friends and an extended family here in Florida and in Bridgeport, CT specially all the people that she worked with at Elba’s Beauty Salon. She will be sorely missed by all. Arrangements are by Fort Myers Memorial Gardens and a Memorial Service and Burial date will be announced. Their dedication to Rosa truly made a difference in her life and ours.)
