Rose Sclafani's Obituary
Rose Sclafani, 99, a resident of Fort Myers, FL since 2004, formerly of New York passed away Wednesday, May 10, 2023 with her family by her side. She was born March 26, 1924 in New York, NY to the late Antonio and Madalena (nee Fromia) Biancavilla.
Rose worked for Bee Alive (a family business) in Valley Cottage, NY until the age of 80. She was an artist and continued coloring/drawing until her passing. She found comfort and Peace in embroidery and making pictures and blankets for family and friends. She was a beautiful person inside and out. Rose was kind and passionate and her laughter would brighten anyones day! She will be forever missed! She was preceded in death by her husband, John Sclafani.
Rose is survived by her two loving daughters, Madeline Balletta of Fort Myers, FL and Maria Apuzzo of Fort Myers, FL; four grandchildren, Lori, Jeannine, Jason and Nicole; 10 great grandchildren, Tommy, Julianne, Andrew, Tommy Boy, Nicholas, Gracie Mae, Tighe, Julia, Evelyn and Jax; as well as two great grandchildren, Finley and Maverick.
The family will receive friends for a time of visitation from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM, Sunday, May 14, 2023 at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Blvd., Fort Myers, FL. Graveside Services will be held 11:00 AM, Monday, May 15, 2023 at Lee Memorial Park, 12777 FL-82, Lehigh Acres, FL 33973.
