Rose L. Soluri's Obituary
Rose L Soluri, formerly of Stony Point, NY and West Haverstraw, NY and currently of N. Ft. Myers Florida passed away on October 24th, 2024 at the age of 81 surrounded by her loving family after a brief battle with Cancer.
Rose was born in Brooklyn, NY to Rose and Joseph D’Angelo on October 29th, 1942. She attended Brooklyn schools and went to Ladycliff Academy High School in Highland Falls, NY, Class of 1960. Rose retired from NRCSD after 25 years as a Teacher’s Assistant.
Rose was Predeceased by the love of her life, her husband, Anthony “Tony” Soluri on September 6, 1986. She is also predeceased by her parents, Rose and Joseph, and predeceased by numerous Aunt’s and Uncle’s.
Rose is survived by her Loving and Devoted Daughter, Lisa Soluri-Sullivan, Son-in-Law, Mark Sullivan, and the apple of her eye, her buddy, her Grand-Daughter Angela Rose Sullivan.
She is also survived by her Loving Sister Angela Tardino, Brother-in-law John Tardino, her Nephew Michael Tardino (Rosalie) and her niece Marissa Altobelli (Joseph) and many, many cousins, whom some she was very close with. Also, survived by her step grandson, Mark Sullivan Jr. and step granddaughter, Suzanne Sullivan Gaspar. She will be missed by the family’s closest friend Fred Mena.
A visitation will be held from 2:00 – 5:00 PM, Monday, October 28, 2024 at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Blvd., Fort Myers, FL. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 AM, Tuesday, October 29, 2024 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 2057 Cleveland Avenue, Fort Myers, FL.
Her burial will be at St. Peter’s Catholic Cemetery Route 9W Haverstraw, NY on Monday November 4th, 2024 at 11:00AM. Arrangements by Edward C. Finn Funeral Home, Sontey Point, NY.
The family statement reads, Rose loved her family very much and she will be forever missed by her family whom she loved so much.
