Roy & Judy Giles were our friends for over 30 years. We miss them and remember all the good days spent together at their home and ours.We miss visiting with Judy when she would stop at our home during her daily walks with their German Shepherd Guy and in later years Jake.Roy & Judy always put seeds and peanuts out for the birds and squirrels. When they went on vacation we used to bird sit an injured dove they had rescued that couldn't fly. It wouldn't have survived without their care. Roy & Judy also rescued an injured Bluejay that they named Peeper. He survived and flew free when he was well. But, he came back for years and if their door was open, would hop onto the counter wanting a peanut. We are putting out extra seeds for our wildlife that will be from Roy & Judy. The extra treats will be us passing aong the love Roy & Judy had for all their furry and feathered friends.Roy also had a love for pigs……but, that is another story. We love you Roy & Judy……Carole & Mahlon Woolard
Dr. Roy was a dedicated, caring man who loved his patients and loved his Judy! He at times presented a facade of gruffness to cover the fact that he was a big old softy with a heart of gold.It was my honor and privilege to work with him and Miss Judy off and on for many rewarding years.
Since birth, Roy and Judy have played an important part in my life. With my grandparents living across the street from them for many years, it was natural to visit them each time we visited granny and granddad. When we purchased the old home across the street, my husband and I continued our relationship with that remarkable couple. We loved to hear stories about how Ft. Myers was in its early days. Both Roy and Judy would share fond memories of days past. Thank you for sharing your home, your knowledge with us! GO CANES! The Bowen's
Roy and Judy were friendly neighbors who enjoyed having cocktails while sharing stories of old Florida pioneers and the way it used to be. Roy had lots of information about how Fort Myers had changed over the years.
