My deepest compassion to Aunt Candida, and to my cousins Daisy and Tito. Uncle Ruben was my favorite and only uncle that I had the opportunity to know during my childhood in Brooklyn and again as an adult in Fort Myers. I will miss his kindness, hospitality, serving me food as soon as I walked through the front door and brewing coffee. His birthday celebrations always special (Carvel and desserts), the best Puerto Rican meals, thanks to my Aunt. The pleasure of laughing, joking, hearing his stories; but the love he conveyed to everyone, always a joy to watch. His words, kind. I am confident to know I will see Tio Ruben again when I also cross over to see my Maker -Jesus. So, we celebrate your 81 years of life as a child of God, a Husband, Dad, Son, nephew, sibling, uncle and friend. Thank you for being my uncle.
