Ruby Jean (Hudgins) Grant's Obituary
Ruby Jean (Hudgins) Grant of Ft. Myers passed away at her home on April 20, 2014. She was born June 2, 1938 in Hickman County Tennessee. She is survived by her husband Archie T. Grant Jr. of 57 years. Ruby took great pride in her family of three children: Archie Thomas Grant III of Nashville, Tennessee; Karen Lynne (Grant) Handley and husband, Jim of Orlando, Florida, Gary Lee Grant of Atlanta, Georgia; three grandchildren Holly Marie (Grant) Long and husband, Brian of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; Grant Thomas Handley and wife Rebecca of Panosoffkee, Florida, Caroline Frances (Handley) Feagle and husband, Justin of St. Cloud, Florida and two great grandchildren Noelle Marie Long and Mayland James Handley. Ruby is survived by a sister Rosie Green of Pegram, Tennessee and brothers William Hudgins, James Hudgins and John Hudgins all of Nashville, Tennessee area. Ruby and her three children were always very helpful in supporting Archie’s business relationships and accomplishments. She was of the Methodist faith and resided in Ft. Myers for 46 years. She enjoyed sewing, tennis and traveling. Ruby was a graduate from The University of South Florida and was a teacher for Lee County Schools. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Friday, April 25, 2014 at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home with Rev. Patty Davis officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Thursday, April 24 from 6-8 pm.Those wishing to contribute in her memory can make donations in lieu of flowers to Cypress Lake United Methodist Church, 8570 Cypress Lake Dr., Ft.
