Ruth Mary Heberling's Obituary
Ruth Mary Heberling was 100 years old on October 26th, 2013. She passed away January 4th, 2014 in Cape Coral. She was born in Quincy, Illinois, lived in Carmel, Indiana most of her life and Cape Coral for the last 25 years. Her husband, Fred, preceded her in death in 1982. Her parents, brothers Paul and Joe, and sisters Loretta and Milly preceded her in death also. Her children are Ruthanne and Dexter Hawkins and Fritz Heberling. Her grandchildren are Eric and Kim Hawkins and their children, Justin, Emma and Chance. Shane and Jocelyn Hawkins and their daughter, Hailey.. Her sister, Vicky and Bob Scholz and son Greg live in Michigan. Her brother-in-law Chuck Neal and his sons Dr David and Lois Neal and Mike and Josie Neal from Florida. Her sister-in-laws Avril Bernzen and Marge Maas live in Quincy, IL Her beloved friends, who took her to St Katherine Drexel Catholic Church, are Larry and June Jones. She was a member of St Katherine Drexel for the past 20 years. She was previously active in the Orchid and Bromeliad Societies and the Embroiderers Guild. There will be Mass of celebration at 11am at St Katherine Drexel in Cape Coral on Thursday, Thursday January 16th. In the evening will be a visitation from 6-7pm and a memorial service at 7pm at Ft Myers Memorial Gardens. Her internment will be in Carmel, Indiana at a later date.
