I will miss Aunt Ruth so much!!!

She was the best! So intelligent, funny, witty, compassionate and beautiful.

Ah yes, I’m told that Uncle Jim affectionately started calling her “Slim”, while they were dating, after she emerged from a hospital stay rail-thin!

She seemed to gravitate back to Ruth in the years since Uncle Jim died 😢

I think it is her big heart ❤️ and deep kindness 🙏🏻 that I will miss the most 😢

Slim was a big part of our Jungle Drums Gallery family on Captiva for many years. She enlightened a great many visitors from all parts of the world about the talented people we represented. No doubt many artists were able to make a living based on Slim's ability to convey to visitors' the work and creativity that went into each piece of art she was discussing.
When we introduced her to a customer during her first few days with us we referred to her as Ruth. She admonished us by saying "My name is SLIM, do you have a problem with that?" And we did not!
SLIM will be missed by many.
