Sally L. Sirianni's Obituary
Sally Lea Sirianni, 69, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Sunday, April 10th, 2011 after a long battle with Diabetes and Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease. Her death occurred at Lee Memorial Hospital after a fall at home. She was surrounded by her family.?á Sally was born on July 12th, 1941 in Martins Ferry, OH, and grew up in Wheeling, WV, the daughter of the late Orville R. and Blodwyn E. McNickle. Sally moved to Fort Myers, FL with her husband, Frank, and her two children, Frankie and Gina, in 1970. She was a long-time employee of Fort Myers High School, where she worked as a library aide for more than 30 years. A beloved wife, mother, grandma, sister, and friend, she loved and was loved by her family dearly. ?á More than this, she was a devoted follower of Christ. Her favorite activities included discussing the Scriptures, listening to sermons, singing worship songs, prayer, and spending time with her family. Although she was bound to her home, her desire was to one day join her husband at McGregor Baptist Church. Sally fought the good fight, she finished the race, and she kept the faith (2 Tim. 4:7). ?á In addition to her parents, Sally was preceded in death by her brothers, Robert J. McNickle of Haymarket, VA (wife Sandi) and Bruce J. McNickle of Largo, FL (wife Eleanor), as well as her brother-in-law, Coach Sam Sirianni (wife Margaret).?á Sally is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Frank Sirianni, Jr., their son, Frank Sirianni, III (and his wife, Crissy), their daughter, Gina Griner (and her husband, David), and their grandchildren Jacob (15), Luke (13), and Brooke (11). She is also survived by her twin brother, Larry A. McNickle (widower of Beverly) of Falls Church, VA, her brother, Danny J. McNickle (wife Rita) of Wheeling, WV, and her sisters Judi A. Ross (husband Jerry) of Fort Pierce, FL, Connie E. Rosenberg (husband Stuart) of Sante Fe, NM, and Susie M. Snyder (husband Tom) of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL; as well as numerous nephews and nieces.?á Funeral services will be held at McGregor Baptist Church, 3750 Colonial Blvd., Fort Myers, FL, in the main sanctuary on Thursday, April 14th, 2011.
